Zheng Wenxin: Qian Kun Ri Ye Fu
One hundred thousand space will bring artist Zheng Wenxin's solo exhibition on March 28, 2015.
The name of the exhibition "heaven and earth float day and night" is taken from Du Fu's poem "climbing Yueyang Tower" -- Dongting Lake is full of Wu and Chu, floating on the sun and night, and the waves lift the sky and boundless. However, with the poet's pen, the natural physical space is stretched into the vast field of Qi. The word "floating" not only stabilizes the heaven and earth, day and night to a critical state without edge, but also includes it in the flow cycle In the rhythm of life.
Similarly, the space in Zheng Wenxin's paintings is full of invisible power, which has been trying to break through the edge of the picture space. As a result, life and material, spirit and reality, nature and will, these antagonistic relations are steadily coordinated into the rhythm of painting by the "compliance" action in the artist's creative behavior. For artists, painting is like yoga, both of which stretch the meridians and spiritual space of the body at the same time. In the process of stretching, the subject constantly obtains energy and strength.
This exhibition is not a painting exhibition in the conventional sense. Zheng Wenxin used human organs and the waters of the four rivers in which he lived as frame shaped templates, and made 10 special-shaped frames respectively. From the artist's point of view, the shape of organs and rivers is pregnant with some kind of energy. The shape is no longer an expressive and lyrical system, but its internal gas field is more in line with the logic of painting itself.
Zheng Wenxin, born in 1975, graduated from the Department of fine arts of Xiamen University with a master's degree from Kent Institute of art and design, and began to teach in China Academy of Fine Arts in 2003.
For the poem "heaven and earth float day and night", we can have unlimited space to extend. In addition, the 100000 space will also invite Jiang Zhuyun (building blocks) to present the sound space of "heaven and earth floating day and night". Although vision, sound and poetry all have their own specialties in language structure, they are aesthetically an existence of intentionality for the audience. This existence based on the language structure and finally transcends the language can bring great spiritual freedom. On this basis, we seem to be able to talk about anything.
